Lençóis Maranhenses in northeastern Brazil is a unique national park of endless white sand dunes, between which turquoise freshwater lagoons form during the rainy season. This landscape, resembling a giant, bright "bedsheet," is a photographer's dream and is considered one of the country's most spectacular natural wonders.

Here, I had the opportunity to experience this breathtaking landscape from a bird's-eye view in a small plane with the doors off. From the air, a truly spectacular natural spectacle unfolds: The river appears like a vast stream of latte macchiato, while at sunset, the blue freshwater lagoons seem like flowing gold.
