MADAGASCAR… I had long dreamed of observing and photographing chameleons, lemurs, and other endemic animal species in their natural habitat in Madagascar… I only had vague ideas about the country and was thrilled when I was able to join Uwe Hasubek and a small group of photographers. I had heard of the aye-aye, but the fact that we would actually see and photograph it… a dream come true! Of course, the opportunity for exciting people photography also attracted me. I was also overwhelmed by the incredibly diverse landscape and the very friendly, simple, and sustainable people living on this largest island off the coast of East Africa!
